Artist's Statement

"My work simply reflects my individual vision of both the natural landscape and the beauty of the female form. In that I alone compose the image, the un-manipulated photographs I make reflect on how I see the world around us, which I hope to share with the viewer. There are no hidden meanings in my work -- it is simply my view of reality. . . ."

Artist's Bio

I've been photographing along the California Coast for over 25 years, with emphasis on the Central Coast area, namely Big Sur, of which I'm a resident. My approach is similar to other traditional black and white photographers, whose work has made this area well known in this medium.

My prints employ the traditional silver-gelatin emulsion on fiber-based paper, and are archivally processed for maximum permanence. All mounting board and mats employ museum quality materials, enhancing the longevity of the prints. Unlike other photographic materials in use today, these prints will last a lifetime.

My work has been exhibited in many galleries over the years, from San Diego, north to Monterey. It appears in many private collections throughout the country.

What is shown here is some of my latest work, done entirely in the Big Sur area, from Anderson Creek, north to Point Lobos. These are limited-edition prints, with editions of 20 or 30 prints total, signed and numbered by the photographer. Prints are 10 1/4 inch square, mounted and matted on 14" x 18" inch museum quality mat board.
